The 850-page Guide includes contributions from a wide range of professionals and practitioners with direct experience in the design and implementation of BRT systems throughout the world. Although the updated Bus Rapid Transit Planning Guide will appeal mainly to planning and engineering professionals, others groups can also benefit from the Guide's thorough information resources, including non-governmental organizations, national and regional policymakers, and business groups. The Guide was developed through support from UNEP, Global Environment Facility (GEF), the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and GTZ. Currently available in English, the Bus Rapid Transit Planning Guide is being translated into Chinese, Portuguese, and Spanish. |
