Due Diligence Guidelines
The Guidelines on Environmental Due Diligence for Renewable Energy
Technologies, developed by UNEP and its Collaborating Center BASE,
are a practical tool for financiers and investors to check and
mitigate their risk of investments in this sector. EDD guidelines are available for the following technologies: wind, solar PV, solar thermal, biogas, biomass systems based on agricultural and forestry waste, biomass systems based on energy crops, geothermal, and small-scale hydroelectric. In order to make the EDD guidelines more user friendly a stakeholder consultation was carried-out by BASE. |
