Mr. Curlin is the Capacity Building Manager of the OzonAction Programme, which assists developing countries under UNEP's mandate as an Implementing Agency of the Multilateral Fund of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. In cooperation with the OzonAction Compliance Assistance Programme teams in UNEP's regional offices and Paris, he and his team develop and deliver a range of information, training and experience-sharing services that strengthen the capacities of targeted stakeholders in those countries. These services in turn help the countries meet their compliance commitments under the Montreal Protocol. Mr. Curlin has worked on ozone protection issues with UNEP since the end of 1991, previously managing the global Information Clearinghouse service. Prior to joining UNEP, Mr. Curlin worked for Science Applications International Corporation, an environmental consultancy firm in the Washington D.C. area, supporting USEPA's Pollution Prevention Information Clearinghouse. He also worked for a public-sector policy research and lobbying organization, the National Governor's Association, on hazardous waste information management issues.
