Implementation of the RMP: training programme on good refrigerant management practices and hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerants safe handling

Training of refrigeration technicians on good refrigeration management practices. In Phase I, 20-25 local trainers and senior technicians with supervisory functions will be trained through one 5-days workshop. In Phase II, the local trainers will train 400 local technicians through 20 workshops. It will result in intensifying the awareness amongst technicians in ozone protection issues and will lead to the reduction of the wasteful use of CFCs and is critical for the effective phase-out of CFCs. The programme also includes technical information and training on safe working procedures and safe handling of hydrocarbons for technicians and personnel that are involved in HCs. A one 3-day workshop will be held by an international consultant to train 20 selected technical trainers and supervisors from technical Institutes, Kuwait University, refrigerators dealers, refrigerants whole sales and local refrigerators and foam manufacturers
