Description / Synopsis
I Count is the campaign of the UK’s Stop Climate Chaos coalition which brings together over 60 organisations, from environment and development charities to unions, faith and women's groups. The film reflects the inspirational, uplifting tone of the I Count campaign and features celebrities such as Alex Zane, Richard Coyle, Jamie Bell, Sophia Myles and Terra Naomi in everyday circumstances saying they are irresistible. The message of the film is simple: Individually we are great. Together we are irresistible. Taking steps together we can tackle climate chaos and persuade governments to do so too.
The I Count campaign was launched by the Stop Climate Chaos coalition to reach out to the general public and create an irresistible public mandate for political progress on climate change policy in the UK.
The main aim of the film was to creatively illustrate that as individuals, we can all have a part to play in stopping climate chaos. Taking small actions together we can pressure governments to take bigger actions to tackle climate change. A tender for creative briefs was circlated amongst some high profile agencies and the best idea was selected. The creative team set about getting high profile people to be in the film and it was shot and edited just before its Premiere at Glastonbury festival 2007.
The film premiered at Glastonbury 2007 and 70,000 new supporters signed up to the campaign.
