Description / Synopsis

Well known statues have organized an international congress, because they are concerned about the climate change and sea level rise – as they can not swim. A Finnish representative finds a solution – probably by accident or even without noticing by himself.


In December 2007 VR published 12 environmental promises, which it intends to fulfill by 2012. The film also brought to light the environmental program.


The stone men, four lamp holding statues at Helsinki central railway station, have played an important role in VR advertising for over ten years already. All Finnish people know these statues and associate them to VR. Overall, statues are perfect mannequins for environmental campaign, as they appear in town centres, in polluted air.


In a survey performed after the campaign, 90 % of the Finnish considered VR the most environmental friendly public transport company. In addition to this VR´s corporate image improved and the market share of rail transport grew.
