Abstract
Each of the 22 sector reports in the "Industry as a partner towards sustainable development" series presents numerous efforts developed by industry in reducing their environmental footprint and addressing other sustainability challenges. 10 years after Rio: the UNEP assessment highlights the two main reasons for this widening gap and identifies five priority areas to move forward. It further provides recommendations for business and industry, governments, civil society groups and international organisations.
