India SCP Roundtable
Introductory Session |
The Second India Roundtable (New
Delhi, December 2007), also hosted by the Government of
India and supported by the European Commission and UNEP,
built on the lessons learned from the previous meeting.
It exchanged ideas and experiences on developing 'key sector'
action plans in the following areas:
- Water efficiency and its utilization
- Integrated waste management
- Creating awareness for sustainable goods.
The three working groups came up with some key pilot activities
and recommendations for future action. This action is considered
a key stepping stone in the development and implementation
of a national programme on SCP for India.
